Trading courses. Crypto. Investing. Online businesses.

Every day another video promises a new way to make more money, faster and with less effort. Profit screenshots. Luxury cars. Success stories.

  • “Don’t miss out.”
  • “Only a few spots left.”
  • “If you had started a month ago, you’d already be making money.”

That’s FOMO. And when everything looks convincing, it is hard to know who you can actually trust.

One caption. Here’s what it hides.

A typical trading-course Reel caption, run through a Quick check.

🚨 Still working 9-5 in 2026?? I turned $500 into $41,000 in 11 weeks trading THIS one strategy nobody teaches you. Comment “READY” and I’ll DM you the free breakdown before it’s gone tonight. My last 3 students quit their jobs in under a month. Link in bio — spots close at midnight.

Quick check · Example

Manufactured urgency and an unverified results claim drive most of the pressure here.

The score summarizes the signals below. The quoted evidence is the part to judge.

Signal score82/100
  • Manufactured urgency

“spots close at midnight” — a deadline with no stated reason spots are limited.

  • Comment farming

“Comment ‘READY’ and I’ll DM you the free breakdown” — asks for a comment to receive something by DM.

  • Vague authority

“turned $500 into $41,000 in 11 weeks” — a specific-sounding result with no verification or source.

Example only. This post, handle, and result are illustrations, not a real creator or a real check.

How it works

A private second opinion, only when you ask for one.

  1. 1
    Quick - Spots pressure tactics

Seconds, 1 credit. It names the pressure patterns and quotes the exact words behind each one.

  2. 2
    Deep - Verifies the claims

One tap on the result adds public-source research and the domain record behind the offer.

  3. 3
    You keep the decision.

Not to decide for you - to help you decide without letting FOMO decide for you. No labels for you or the creator, and no verdict on the person.

Before you:

Check them first. See whether there are real signs of credibility behind the account - or mainly promises, pressure, and aggressive marketing.

  • Buy the course

Paste the sales page or pitch. See the urgency language, vague outcomes, and withheld specifics before you pay.

  • Act on a Reel

Paste the Reel link. The pitch that is only spoken out loud or flashed on screen gets read too, not just the caption.

  • Send money on a promise

Trading calls, crypto tips, high-return offers. See the manufactured urgency, the vague authority, and the value held back behind a funnel.

  • Trust a new online guru

Scan a public profile for a pattern that repeats across posts, not just the one you happened to see.

Questions before your first check

What the tool examines, what it cannot decide, and what happens to the content you provide.

Cut the FOMO is a private social media pressure checker. Before you buy a course, act on a Reel, or follow a trading call, it highlights the specific words and patterns that may be pushing you to click, comment, buy, or act before you have time to think, and shows what the claims are actually backed by.

It looks for observable patterns such as manufactured urgency, comment farming, useful information withheld behind a funnel, vague authority claims, templated hype, and bait-and-switch framing.

No. It evaluates the language and public evidence available for the content you submit. It does not diagnose intent, label a person, or make the final decision for you.

Yes. Paste a public Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or X (Twitter) link. For an Instagram Reel the check also reads the spoken audio and the on-screen text, so a pitch that never appears in the caption is still examined. For an X post it also watches any attached video and includes the post being quoted. TikTok and Facebook posts are checked on their public caption text. You can also paste any caption by hand or upload a screenshot from any app.

Your first checks are free when you sign in, with no card. They cover Quick checks - a Deep check or a profile scan is paid. After that you buy credits: 1 credit for a Quick check, 5 for a Deep check, 10 for a profile scan. There is no subscription, credits stay on your account until you use them, and any check that fails is refunded.

Quick checks the post itself for persuasion patterns. Deep can add public-source research about checkable claims after a Quick result, so you can separate the language used from the evidence behind it.

Screenshots are processed to extract the post text and are not stored by Cut the FOMO. Limited operational records and short evidence excerpts may be retained as explained in the Privacy Policy.

Yes. A profile scan can examine recent public posts for repeating pressure patterns and review public bio-link context. It does not access private posts or private account data.

No. Credits are only deducted when a profile scan completes. If the scan fails without producing a result, its credits are returned and the scan costs 0 credits.

Yes, for signed-in accounts. We keep a private list of your past checks - the type, platform, the link or name you submitted, the score, the verdict, and the signals found - so you can look back at what you've already checked. It does not include post text or screenshots. You can delete any entry or clear your whole history, and entries are kept for 90 days.
